Specificity
This antibody binds CA242, which is a carbohydrate tumor marker, closely related, but not identical, to CA 19-9 and CA 50. It is commonly tested along with CEA, CA19-9 for detecting pancreatic cancer. This protein is overexpressed in malignant tumors and has been clinically used as a diagnostic biomarker for pancreatic, colorectal and other cancers.

The original antibody was generated from its parental mouse antibody by introducing point mutations in CDRs to improve binding affinity.
Application Notes
This antibody binds human CA242 with a binding affinity of Kd= 9.48 nM. This antibody can be used for the detection of human CA242 in a sample using ELISA (CN112898430).
