Specificity
This antibody binds human CD30, also called TNFRSF8, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It may play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and transformation of activated lymphoblasts. It is characteristically expressed in certain hematopoietic malignancies, including anaplastic large cell lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma, among others.

Immunogen
The original antibody was raised by immunizing a female BALB/c mouse with pHRm30c, a plasmid encoding full-length of human CD30 under control of cytomegalovirus promoter
Application Notes
The original antibody was used for an ELISA on CD30-Fc to determine its binding. This antibody was used for flow cytometry on cell lines natively expressing CD30. This antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on sCD30. This antibody conjugated with PE38 was used for a cytotoxicity assay on Karpas299 cells where it showed cytoxicity on different CD30 positive cell lines (US7470775B2).
