Specificity
This antibody is specific for neuroligin-4*. Neuroligin-4* is a cell surface protein involved in cell- cell-interactions. Plays a role in the formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions via its interactions (via the extracellular domains) with neurexin family members. Plays a role in synaptic signal transmission.

This antibody was raised against a fusion protein of amino acids 782-945 of mouse Neuroligin-4*.
Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for detection and analysis of neuroligin-4 by immunocytochemistry and western blot. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect neuroligin-4 by western blot in extracts of MBM and COS cells transiently transfected with Neuroligin- 1 and Neuroligin-4 plasmids.
