Application
WB, IHC
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Bovine, Rat, Human, Mouse
Clone No.
3F7-B11-B5
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
The antibody recognizes mouse, rat and bovine NOS.
Alternative Names
NOS; Nitric oxide synthase; NOS-3F7-B11-B5
UniProt
E1BKI3
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice against purified, bovine cerebellum NOS.
Application Notes
The antibody reacted with bovine cerebellum NOS as well as with structurally different NOSs from cultured bovine aortic endothelial cells and cultured RAW 264.7 macrophages in Western blot analysis. The reactivity of the antibody was confirmed by immunohistochemical staining of rat cerebellum, arterial endothelial cells, and cultured stimulated macrophages. The antibody showed immunoreactivity within the respiratory epithelium but not in the bronchial smooth muscle (Rengasamy et al, 1994; pmid:7528982). The antibody was used for immunohistochemistry study to investigate the neuronal nitric oxide synthase immunoreactivity in cats (Papantchev et al, 2006; pmid:17120106). The antibody was used for immunohistochemical study on human colon tissue sample (Amato et al, 2014; pmid:24443715).
