From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for human CD39. CD39 could hydrolyze ATP and other nucleotides to regulate purinergic neurotransmission. Could also be implicated in the prevention of platelet aggregation by hydrolyzing platelet-activating ADP to AMP. Hydrolyzes ATP and ADP equally well.
Alternative Names
Ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1; ENTPD1; NTPDase 1; Ecto-ATP diphosphohydrolase 1; Ecto-ATPDase 1; Ecto-ATPase 1; Ecto-apyrase; Lymphoid cell activation antigen

Immunogen
The mouse version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a BALB/c rat with JY cells.
Application Notes
To study the expression and distribution of CD39, flow cytometry was performed on PBMCs and splenic e-cells using the mouse version of this antibody (Kansas et al, 1991; pmid:1672348).
