This antibody is specific for Kv-beta-1. It does not cross-react with Kvβ1.2, Kvβ1.3, Kvβ2. Kv- beta-1 is a cytoplasmic potassium channel subunit that modulates the characteristics of the channel- forming alpha-subunits. Modulates action potentials via its effect on the pore-forming alpha subunits

This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide of amino acids 7-28 of rat Kv1.1.
Application Notes
Immunofluorescence was preformed using this antibody on primary hippocampal neurons from postnatal day 1 Sprague–Dawley rats (Cho et al, 2020; PMID:33168717). Primary hippocampal neurons from postnatal day 1 Sprague–Dawley rats were used for immunohistochemistry with this antibody (Cho et al, 2020; PMID:33168717). This antibody was used for immunoblotting on left ventricular mouse tissue lysates (Kilfoil et al, 2019; PMID:31639389).
