This antibody is specific for TrkB.T1 peptide Ac-C(dPEG4)FVLFHKIPLDG. TrkB.T1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the development and the maturation of the central and the peripheral nervous systems through regulation of neuron survival, proliferation, migration, differentiation, and synapse formation and plasticity.

This antibody was raised by immunizing male and female 20-week-old C57BL6 mice that were characterized as genetic null for TrkB.T1 with TrkB.T1 peptide Ac-C(dPEG4)FVLFHKIPLDG-OH maleimide coupled to KLH carrier protein.
Application Notes
To validate this antibody, immunohistochemistry was preformed on multi-tissue block containing human brain, mouse brain, TrkB.T1−/− mouse brain, a cell pellet over-expressing TrkB.T1 and a cell pellet without TrkB.T1 were stained using the scFv version of this antibody. Furthermore, the specificity of this antibody was proven using western blot with the mouse version of this clone. Finally, flow cytometry confirmed the specificity of the mouse version of this antibody (Patwell et al, 2020; pmid:32532995).
