From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds tetrodotoxin (TTX), which is a small molecular weight neurotoxin that occludes voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve and muscle tissue, resulting in respiratory paralysis and death.
Alternative Names
TTX; C11H17N3O8; 4368-28-9; CHEMBL507974; Tetrodoxin; Tarichatoxin; Maculotoxin; Spheroidine; Tetrodontoxin; Fugu poison
UniProt
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with chemically made tetrodotoxin complete antigen. Later on a phage display library was constructed from the amplified genes encoding monoclonal antibodies and the clone was isolated after six rounds of biopanning.
Application Notes
This high affinity antibody can be used for the detection of tetrodotoxin and TTX-BSA conjugate in an ELISA.
