UniProt | P67875 |
Immunogen | 17A5 antibody was raised using a novel technique: mononuclear cells were taken from the human subjects with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis and then screened for IgE secretion.Subsequently, they were used to generate hybridomas of which some were secreting anti-Asp f 1 IgE. |
Application Notes | 17A5 antibody's target protein (Asp f 1) was confirmed through IP and mass spectrometry analysis (Wurth et al., 2018). WB and ELISA: the antibody was successfull in detecting Asp f 1 antigen in a commercial Aspergillus extract ALKB (Wurth et al., 2018). |
Antibody First Published | Wurth et al. Human IgE mAbs define variability in commercial Aspergillus extract allergen composition JCI Insight. 2018 Oct 18;3(20). pii: 123387. doi: 10.1172/jci.insight.123387. PMID:30333320 |
Note on publication | The paper describes a method of generating Aspergillus-reactive IgE–secreting human hybridomas (among them these secreting this antibody). Subsequently, the antibody is characterized and its specificity is determined. Finally, this antibody is used to determin a potential presence of its antigen in the commercialy-available Aspergillus samples used in diagnosis and treatment of Aspergillus-related allergies. |
