Specificity
This antibody binds an epitope between amino acids 370 and 750 of the human PSMA. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a type II integral membrane glycoprotein belonging to the M28 peptidase family. It acts as a glutamate carboxypeptidase on different alternative substrate. It is highly expressed in cancerous cells and is used as an effective diagnostic and prognostic indicator of prostate cancer.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with a HIS tagged human PSMA fragment (amino acids between 307 to 750).
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. This antibody is also recommended for the detection of PSMA using immunohistochemistry (CN112480260).
