Basic Information | |
Specificity | YKIX 337.8.7 specifically binds to CD44. CD44 has high affinity for hyaluronic acid (HA) and can mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions through its affinity for HA (and possibly also osteopontin, collagens, and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)). Adhesion with HA is important for cell migration, tumor growth and progression. CD44 also plays a role in lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, and in hematopoiesis. CD44 is a receptor for LGALS9 - this interaction enhances SMAD3 binding to the FOXP3 promoter, up-regulating FOXP3 expression and increasing induced regulatory T (iTreg) cell stability and suppressive function. |
