Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1330 |
Name | Anti-Cytokeratin 17 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- A4 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | WB, ELISA, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for human cytokeratin 17. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 17 regulates the activity of kinases such as PKC and SRC via binding to integrin beta-1 (ITB1) and the receptor of activated protein C kinase 1 (RACK1). |
Alternative Name | CK17; CK-17; KRT17; K17; Keratin; type I cytoskeletal 17; Cytokeratin-17; Keratin-17 |
UniProt | Q04695 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by panning a semisynthetic phage display library against human epidermal keratin extracted from psoriatic scales. |
Application Notes | The binding of this antibody to human cytokeratin 17 was checked using ELISA. This antibody can be used for the identification of human cytokeratin 17 by immunohistochemistry and western blotting (PMID: 15340746). |
Antibody First Published | Wang et al. Cloning and characterization of antikeratin human antibodies using a semisynthetic phage antibody library. Arch Dermatol Res. 2004 Nov;296(6):270-7. PMID:15340746 |
Note on publication | Describes the generation of an anti-keratin human antibody using phage display technology. |
