Specificity | This antibody is specific for Dynein Light Chain Tctex-Type 3 (DYNLT1). Dynein Light Chain Tctex-Type 3 acts as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 acts as a motor for the intracellular retrograde motility of vesicles and organelles along microtubules. Probably binds BUB3 as part of transport cargo. Required for the efficient progression through mitosis (By similarity). |

Application Notes | The antibody has been used for immunofluorescence on PC12 cell neurites (Ha et al, 2008; pmid:18559670). Western blot has been performed on PC12 cells using this antibody (Ha et al, 2008; pmid:18559670). It was used for immunoprecipitation on the bacteria expressing the GST fusion proteins (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17965411). The antibody was used for immunoblot assays on bacteria expressing the GST fusion proteins as well (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17965411). Mitotic NRK cell lysate has been used for immunoprecipitation with this antibody (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17289665). Immunoblotting was preformed on Mitotic NRK cell lysate with this antibody (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17289665). PC12 cell lines were used for a western blot with this antibody (Myers et al, 2007; pmid:17279546). |
