Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1461 |
Name | Anti-E2/E3E2 envelope protein mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- WD11F |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | SPR |
Species Reactivity | WEEV |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody is specific for E2/E3E2 envelope protein. Two envelope proteins, glycoproteins E1 and E2, associate as trimers of E1-E2 dimers on the viral surface, and make up 80 spikes on the viral surface. |
Alternative Name | Western equine encephalitis virus |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | An immune phage display library derived from the peripheral blood lymphocytes of a llama that had been immunized with an equine vaccine that includes killed WEEV (West Nile Innovator + VEWT) was generated. The antibody was selected by panning the library against recombinant envelope (E2/E3E2) protein from WEEV. |
Application Notes | The binding affinity of the VHH fragment for the WEEV E3E2 recombinant protein was measured by surface plasmon resonance (Kd= 7.2 ×10^−9 M). The ability of the antibody to detect the recombinant protein in a MagPlex sandwich immunoassay was confirmed (Liu et al., 2018; PMID: 31544894). |
Antibody First Published | Liu et al. Selection of Single-Domain Antibodies towards Western Equine Encephalitis Virus Antibodies (Basel). 2018 Dec; 7(4): 44. PMID:31544894 |
Note on publication | The original paper describes the selection and characterization of single-domain antibodies towards the E2/E3E2 envelope protein of the Western equine encephalitis virus (WEEV). |
