From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IP, WB, FC |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody recognizes the N and M-type of glycophorin A. |
Alternative Name | CD235a; Glycophorin-A; MN sialoglycoprotein; PAS-2; Sialoglycoprotein alpha; Glycophorin A, type M and type N |
UniProt | P02724 |
Immunogen | The antibody was generated by immunizing mice with Glycophorin A. |
Application Notes | The Fab fragment recognized glycophorin a on the surface of erythrocytes by immunoprecipitation or western blotting techniques. The number of binding sites and dissociation constants of the Fab' fragment was determined (n = 4.66 × 10^5 sites/erythrocyte, Kd =9.5 × 10^-8 M) (Catimel et al. 1993; PMID: 8228269). This antibody was used for detection of Glycophorin A by flow cytometry (Lansdorp et al., 1992; PMID: 1375263). |
