Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for the mouse H-2Kk MHC antigen. H-2Kk MHC is involved in the presentation of foreign antigens to the immune system. |
Alternative Name | H-2 class I histocompatibility antigen, K-K alpha chain; H2-K1; H-2K(K); H2-K |
UniProt | P04223 |
Immunogen | The antibody was raised against the mouse H-2Kk MHC antigen. |
Application Notes | The passive transfer of monoclonal antibodies was tested using this antibody. This experiment was preformed on cardiac allograft recipients (Rahimi et al, 2004; pmid:14961984). It was tested whether this antibody could activate the complement. It could not (Takenaka et al, 2012; pmid:22980951). Bone marrow plug grafts were removed from the kidney capsule and used for flow cytometry using this antibody. The test animal used was a mouse (Dai et al, 2017; pmid:28783664). Mouse single-cell suspensions from the thymus, lymph nodes, and spleen were used for flow cytometry with this antibody (Martínez-Riaño et al, 2019; pmid:31324740). |
Antibody First Published | Rahimi et al. Non-complement- and complement-activating antibodies synergize to cause rejection of cardiac allografts Am J Transplant. 2004 Mar;4(3):326-34. PMID:14961984 |
Note on publication | Alloantibodies (AlloAbs) are a clinically significant component of the immune response to organ transplants. The effect of these antibodies was tested on mice. |
