Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-2390 |
Name | Anti-Mouse Nidogen/enactin mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- JF1 (1F1-F5-A10) |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | functional assays, SPR, ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for mouse nidogen-1. Nidogen-1 is a sulfated glycoprotein widely distributed in basement membranes and tightly associated with laminin. Also binds to collagen IV and perlecan. It probably has a role in cell-extracellular matrix interactions. |
Alternative Name | Nidogen-1; Nid1; Entactin |
UniProt | P10493 |
Immunogen | The antibody was raised by immunizing fisher rats with recombinant mouse nidogen-1. |
Application Notes | To characterize the original mouse version of this antibody ELISA was preformed against recombinant mouse nidogen-1 (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). Futhermore binding assays on mouse nidogen-1 were also preformed using the mouse version of this antibody (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). And finally this antibody was tested using surface plasmon resonance with mouse nidogen-1 as antigen (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). |
Antibody First Published | Ries et al. Recombinant domains of mouse nidogen-1 and their binding to basement membrane proteins and monoclonal antibodies Eur J Biochem. 2001 Oct;268(19):5119-28. PMID:11589703 |
Note on publication | The basement membrane protein, nidogen-1, was previously shown to consist of three globular domains, G1 to G3, and two connecting segments. Nidogen-1 is a major mediator in the formation of ternary complexes with laminins, collagen IV, perlecan and fibulins. In the present study, recombinant proteins of these predicted domains in mammalian cells were produced and used for crystallographic and binding epitope analyses. |
