Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds the Vps10p domain of the human sortilin-related receptor. Sortilin-related receptor 1 (SORL1) encodes a large, multi-domain containing, membrane-bound receptor involved in endosomal sorting of proteins between the trans-Golgi network, endosomes and the plasma membrane. The sorting of proteins is essential for normal cell function and defects in these pathways are thought to be important factors in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). |
Alternative Name | SORL1; Low-density lipoprotein receptor relative with 11 ligand-binding repeats; LDLR relative with 11 ligand-binding repeats; LR11; SorLA-1; Sorting protein-related receptor containing LDLR class A repeats; SorLA |
UniProt | Q92673 |

Application Notes | This antibody can be used for the identification of sortilin-related receptor. A fragmented version of this antibody was used in crystallizing a protein (US10513562). |
