Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-354 |
Name | Anti-ADAMts13 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- 1-420 scFv |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | inhibition |
Species Reactivity | Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | Binds to the ADAMTS13 spacer domain. 1-420 binds to the same ADAMTS13 spacer domain loop segments that are required for binding of ADAMTS13 to VWF. ADAMTS13 is a zinc-containing metalloprotease which is secreted in blood where it is able to cleave VWF, a protein involved in blood clotting, to decrease the protein's activity. |
Alternative Name | vWF-CP; ADAM-TS13; ADAMTS-13; C9orf8; VWFCP; ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 13 |
UniProt | A2ALB3 |
Immunogen | 1-420 scFv was generated from a phage display library derived from human TTP patients expressing autoantibodies against ADAMTS13. |
Application Notes | Mice transfected with the scFv show ADAMTS13 inhibition and accumulation of unprocessed UL-VWF (ultralarge VWF) multimers. 1-420 mediates inhibition by binding to the same spacer domain loop domain segments required for ADAMTS13 binding to VWF. Please note that this antibody is subject to a pending patent application by the The Trustees Of The University Of Pennsylvania (WO2016164468 A2). |
