Name | Anti-alpha-gal epitope mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- m86 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA, FC |
Species Reactivity | Species independent |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds to the alpha-gal epitope on glycoproteins and glycolipids. |
Alternative Name | A-Gal; Gal-alpha-1 – 3Gal-beta-1 – 4GlcNAc-R |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | Rabbit red cells, on which α-gal is the major carbohydrate epitope, were injected into alpha 1,3 galactosyltransferase knock-out mice. |
Application Notes | This antibody binds to the alpha-gal epitope found on many glycoproteins and glycolipids of non-primate mammalis, prosimians and New World monkeys. Antibodies agains the alpha-gal epitopes occur naturally in Old World monkeys, apes and humans, and induce xenograft rejection from nonprimate animals. |
