Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunizing mice with a synthetic peptide corresponding to C5a- R; amino acids: 1-31 (N terminal). |
Application Notes | S5/1 antibody inhibits C5a binding to its receptor C5aR (Oppermann et al., 1993). Furthermore, this antibody has been widely applied in the detection and analysis of C5aR via various methods. For instance, it was used in a flow cytometric study on peripheral blood lymphocytes where it was shown to bind to monocytes and granulocytes (Oppermann et al., 1993). It was also utilized in the Western blot experiments comparing C5aR expression in different groups of mice (Panayiotou et al., 2017). S5/1 was also successfull in labelling C5aR in the paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical samples of umbilical arteries (Fortin et al., 2002). |
