Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-3374 |
Name | Anti-Gliadin mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-PEE14C7 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | barley, rye, spelt, triticale, Wheat |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody specifically recognizes and binds deaminated gliadens and glutens. It recognizes the epitope sequence 'QPEEPFPE' and does not show any cross reactivity towards non-deamidated gliadin and gluten proteins. |
Alternative Name | Deaminated gliadin; Celiac Allergen; Coeliac Allergen; Alpha-gliadin; α- gliadin; β gliadin; Beta-gliadin; γ gliadin; Gamma-gliadin; Omega-2 gliadin; Omega-5 gliadin; Omega gliadin; ω gliadin |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with a solution of peptide 'QPEEPFPE' conjugated to KLH and of a solution of adjuvant . |
Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for detection of deaminated gliadins and glutenins from wheat, rye, barley, spelt and triticale in commercial food samples (Tranquet et al., 2012). This antibody can also be used in the detection of certain allergies to deaminated glutens (PMID: 22737987). |
