Species Reactivity | barley, rye, spelt, triticale, Wheat |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody can recognize and bind the 'QPEQPFP' peptide of gliadins. This antibody also reacts with deaminated 33mer peptide of α-gliadin 'LQLQPFPQPELPYPQPELPYPQPELPYPQPQPF '. |
Alternative Name | gluten; Celiac Allergen; Coeliac Allergen |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | The original antibody was isolated from the IgA+ plasma cells of celiac patients gut lesions that are reactive with deaminated gluten proteins. |
Application Notes | The binding specificity of IgA+ plasma cells in the single cell suspension was determined by flow cytometry. The relative affinity of the antibody to a panel of gliadin was investigated using ELISA and AlphaLISA (PMID: 27146306, WO2015164615). This antibody recognizes a sequence that intimately associates with deamidation of the gluten peptide. (PMID:28878138). |
