Description
POLR2D Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 165 amino acids (1-142) and having a molecular mass of 18.7kDa.
Introduction
Polymerase II Polypeptide D (POLR2D) is a member of the eukaryotic RPB4
RNA polymerase subunit family. POLR2D is the fourth largest subunit of RNA
polymerase II. Pol II is the main element of the basal RNA polymerase II
transcription machinery. polymerase is responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. In yeast, POLR2D subunit is connected
with the polymerase under suboptimal
growth conditions and might have a stress protective role. POLR2D catalyzes the
transcription of DNA into RNA by the 4 ribonucleoside triphosphates as
substrates.

Formulation
The POLR2D solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl
buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
