Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for the Navbeta4 protein in mice and rats. This protein Modulates channel gating kinetics. |
Alternative Name | N168/6.3R; N168/6; Sodium channel subunit beta-4; Scn4b; Navbeta4 |
UniProt | Q7M730 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein amino acids 184- 228 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of rat Navbeta4. |
Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of Navbeta4 Na+ channel by immunocytochemistry, western blot and immunohistochemistry. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect Navbeta4 Na+ channel by western blot in extracts of RBM and COS cells transiently transfected with GFP-tagged Navbeta4 or untagged Kv2.1 plasmid. Furthermore it was used to detect Navbeta4 Na+ channel by immunocytochemistry in adult rat sciatic nerves. And finally it was also used for detection of Navbeta4 Na+ channel by immunohistochemistry in adult rat brain. |
