Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for mouse CD27, which, as in the human system, is largely restricted to cells of the T cell lineage, and is expressed on the great majority of both αβ and γδ T lymphocytes, and thymocytes. |
Alternative Name | TNFRS7; CD27L receptor; T-cell activation antigen CD27; Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 7 |
UniProt | P41272 |
Immunogen | This antibody was produced by injecting Armenian hamsters intraperitoneally with a mixture of two murine CD27 tag-expressing Armenian hamster fibroblast clones (AR0524 and AR0530) in Freund's adjuvant |
Application Notes | This antibody is specific for murine CD27, and has been used to assess the distribution of CD27 expression using IF, FC and IP analysis (Gravstein, 1995). Upon cross-linking, this antibody has been shown to induce a 4-fold increase in T cell proliferation in response to suboptimal stimulation with concanavalin A (Gravestein, 1995), indicating that this antibody is able to mimic ligand binding. |
Antibody First Published | Gravstein et al. Novel mAbs reveal potent co-stimulatory activity of murine CD27 International immunology, April 1995, Vol.7(4), pp.551-7 PMID:7547681 |
Note on publication | Describes the original use of this antibody to elucidate the distribution and co- stimulatory activity of CD27. |
