From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
The antibody is specific for DOG1. DOG1 is a calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) which plays a role in the transepithelial anion transport and smooth muscle contraction. It is required for the normal functioning of the interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) which generate electrical pacemaker activity in gastrointestinal smooth muscles and it acts as a major contributor to basal and stimulated chloride conductance in airway epithelial cells and plays an important role in tracheal cartilage development.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with recombinant protein DOG1.
Application Notes
The antibody 19F2 and the commercial antibody SP31 were used to stain breast tissue and gastrointestinal tumor in immunohistochemistry. Results showed the antibody specificity is equivalent to the commercial antibody. Further, the staining intensity of the antibody 19F2 was higher than the commercial antibody (CN113045652A).
