This antibody particularly recognizes the EPEA epitope on the C terminal end of α-synuclein. The EPEA epitope can also be used as an epitope tag for identification and purification of the tagged proteins.

The original antibody was generated by immunizing a dromedary with α-synuclein.
Application Notes
This antibody successfully recognized EPEA epitope tag in an ELISA. The bivalent version of this antibody (biNbSyn2) showed improved sensitivity in ELISA. The bivalent version is available on request. This antibody can also recognize EPEA tagged protein in a western blot assay (US9518084).
