A single chain fragment variable (scFv) phage display library was constructed from a simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)-infected rhesus macaque. The original antibody was isolated by panning onto oligomeric (gp140) and monomeric (gp120) forms of SIV Env glycoprotein.
Application Notes
The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The scFv format was able to neutralize SIVmac316. The original antibody was converted in the scFv-Fc format and its specificity validated by WB (Ita et al., 2017; PMID: 28075174).
