Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising mice with a peptide sequence (156-168) from the intracytoplasmic portion of the epsilon-chain of CD3. |
Application Notes | This anti-CD3 has been used for the identification of normal and malignant T lymphocytes in paraffin embedded or frozen tissue sections. For instance, one group labelled paraffin- embedded pancreatic sections with PC3/188A antibody to identify T-lymphocytes while investigating the role of the oligodeoxynucleotide IMT504 on diabetes in rats (Bianchi et al., 2012). Another group also used this antibody to identify T lymphocytes by staining rat brain tissue samples against CD3 in a study investigating the mechanisms of neuroinflammation (Doursout et al., 2013). Finally, Roballo and Bushman (2019) utilised PC3/188A antibody as a marker of T cells during immunohistochemical analysis of frozen sciatic nerve sections. |
