Specificity
ZKA25 reacts specifically with ZIKV NS1, shown by ELISA (Stettler et al, 2016). The mAb does not show cross-reactivity with NS1 protein from any of the four DENV serotypes.

Antibody ZKA25 was isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) and blood plasma collected from a ZIKV-infected patient.
Application Notes
ZKA25 was shown to react specifically with ZIKV, and not DENV1-4, NS1 protein by standard ELISA (Stettler et al, 2016). This mAb was also used in a sandwich ELISA as a serological diagnostic tool to detect viral NS1 from biological fluids obtained from patients with diagnosed ZIKV and DENV infection. This antibody can be used as a positive cotrol in the detection of Zika virus using the blockade-of- binding assays described by Balmaseda (PMID: 28716913 and 29305550) in combination with antibody ZKA35 (Ab01036-10.0-BOB).
