Specificity
The antibody is specific for Nsp9 of PRRSV (strains SD-16, JXA1, GD-HD, and VR2332). Nsp9 possesses RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) activity that is essential for genome replication and transcription.

Immunogen
A Bactrian camel was immunized with recombinant Nsp9 protein and a VHH library was constructed. The antibody was isolated by panning against Nsp9.
Application Notes
MARC-145 cell lines stably expressing Nb6 were established and infected with PRRSV strain SD-16. Virus infection was strongly suppressed in MARC-145-Nb6 as shown by IFA. Further, the antibody could inhibit PRRSV replication (Liu et al., 2015; PMID: 26525739).
