Cat. No. | MABL-1077 |
Name | Anti-CD7 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- T3-3A1 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IP, ELISA, FC |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds human CD7. CD7 is expressed on the majority of immature and mature T- lymphocytes, and T cell leukemia. It is also found on natural killer cells, a small subpopulation of normal B cells and on malignant B cells. CD7 is useful in the identification of precursor T cells as well as an important marker for the identification of leukemic T cells. |
Alternative Name | GP40; TP41; T-cell antigen CD7; T-cell leukemia antigen; T-cell surface antigen Leu-9 ; T3.3A1; 3A1 |
UniProt | P09564 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing female BALB/c mice both intravenously and intraperitoneally with HSB-2 T cells. |
Application Notes | This antibody is capable of recognizing CD7 antigen present on various T cell lines like n HSB-2, HPB-MLT, MOLT-4, CEM, and TALL-1. This antibody also bound a majority (85%) of human PB E- rosette-positive cells. Immunoprecipitation of an HSB-2 extract with this antibody yielded one specific band with a molecular weight of approximately 40,000 in the presence of reducing agent (PMID: 6156457). This antibody was also used in the development of a cell ELISA to monitor the PHA-induced expression of the CD7 antigen in fixed mononuclear leukocytes (PMID: 3492562). This antibody was also used in combination with another anti-CD7 antibody mab 69 of development of a sandwich ELISA for detection of solubilized CD7 antigen (PMID: 2464646). This antibody was used in a study relating to identifying CD7 as target structure for T-cell imaging. |
