Immunogen | The original antibody was raised by immunizing a BALB/c mouse with keratin-enriched preparations from cultured A431 cells. |
Application Notes | The original version of this antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on sections of teratoma derived from iPS cells (Shao et al., 2009; PMID:19238173), on rat endometrial cell sheets and the resected uteri (Kuramoto et al., 2018; PMID:29980256), on fresh samples from either tumours or normal tissues distant from tumours (Bártek et al., 1991; PMID:1716305), and on sebaceous epithelioma tissue from 2 dogs (Yoon and Park., 2016; PMID:27822240). To determine the specificity of this antibody immunofluorescence was performed on A431 cells and the HeLa cytoskeleton. Further a western blot was performed on filament-enriched preparations using this antibody (Bártek et al., 1991; PMID:1716305). This antibody was also used for immunofluorescence on Fresh IT specimens in a study on nose polyps (Yu et al., 2013; PMID:24033346). |
Antibody First Published | Bártek et al. A series of 14 new monoclonal antibodies to keratins: characterization and value in diagnostic histopathology J Pathol. 1991 Jul;164(3):215-24. PMID:1716305 |
Note on publication | The original paper describes A series of 14 new mouse monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) to keratins the data suggesting their potential value in the differential diagnosis of human tumours. |
