Specificity | This antibody is specific for the a fragment of complement factor B. It reacts both with the glycosilated and the deglycosilated form of Ba. The epitope recognized by this antibody is destroyed by carboxypeptidase. Factor B which is part of the alternate pathway of the complement system is cleaved by factor D into 2 fragments |

Application Notes | The mouse version of this antibody was successfully used to specifically quantitate the 34 kDa form of the Ba-fragment an ELISA was preformed on the 34kDa fragment of Ba (Oppermann and Götze, 1994; pmid：8139584). |
