Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1327 |
Name | Anti-Cytokeratin 14 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- 2G4 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is capable of binding human cytokeratin 14. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. The nonhelical tail domain is involved in promoting KRT5-KRT14 filaments to self-organize into large bundles and enhances the mechanical properties involved in resilience of keratin intermediate filaments in vitro. |
Alternative Name | CK14;CK-14; CK 14; K14; KRT14; keratin type I cytoskeletal 14; cytokeratin-14; keratin-14; CGMCC NO 20761; L1002 |
UniProt | P02533 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing 4-6 weeks old female ICR mice with recombinant protein comprising amino acids 458-472 of cytokeratin 7 in equal volume of Freund's incomplete adjuvant. |
Application Notes | The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. The original IgG1 antibody binds cytokeratin 5/6 with a high affinity constant of 4.8× 10^(8) M^(-1). This antibody was also used in the immunohistochemical analysis of frozen paraffin sections of tonsil tissues and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The immunohistochemical staining pattern of this antibody is similar to commercially available antibody L1002 (CN113087793). |
