Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for human DCIR, which is expressed by monocytes, B cells, neutrophils, granulocytes and dendritic cells. |
Alternative Name | CD367; Clec4A; C-type lectin domain family 4 member A; LLIR; CLECSF6; C-type lectin DDB27; C-type lectin superfamily member 6; Dendritic cell immunoreceptor; Lectin-like immunoreceptor |
UniProt | Q9UMR7 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a dendritic cell immunoreceptor ectodomain-human Fc fusion protein. |
Application Notes | This antibody has been used in flow cytometric analysis of DCIR expression by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (Klechevsky et al, 2010). A recombinant humanised form of this antibody fused to protein antigens is under investigation as an antigen-targeting vaccine (Flamar et al, 2012), and has been shown to trigger antigen-specific CD8+ T cell immunity. |
Antibody First Published | Klechevsky et al. Cross-priming CD8+ T cells by targeting antigens to human dendritic cells through DCIR Blood. 2010 Sep 9; 116(10): 1685–1697. |
Note on publication | Describes the original generation of this antibody, and preliminary investigation into its use as an antigen-targeting vaccine. |
