Specificity | This antibody binds human glypican 3 (GPC3).Glypican-3 is an oncofetal antigen that belongs to the glypican family of glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-anchored heparin sulfate proteoglycans. It negatively regulates the hedgehog signaling pathway and positively regulates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. Multiple studies have revealed that GPC-3 is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). |

Application Notes | The initial binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. This antibody can identify human glypican 3 expressed on the Huh7, LM3, HepG2, PLC, PVTT and SMMC-7721 (7721) cell lysates in a western blot assay. This antibody was also used in the immunohistochemical staining of human liver cancer tissues (CN111040036). |
