Basic Information | |
Specificity | The original antibody is strongly specificity for the acetylated lysine 9 of Histone H3. It does not cross-react with any other acetylated, phosphorylated, or methylated residue of histone H3, nor with any other histone protein. |
Alternative Name | acetylated lysine 9 of histone H3 |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | The original antibody was isolated from a mouse naïve ScFv library by panning against the acetylated lysine 9 of Histone H3. |
Application Notes | The specificity of the original format of the antibody for acetylated lysine 9 of histone H3 was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The original format of the antibody detected acetylated lysine 9 of histone H3 by western blot analysis. The original format of the antibody could immunoprecipitate recombinant native acetylated histone H3 in vitro. The original format of the antibody-bound yeast acetylated H3 in vivo, as it was able to immunoprecipitate it after cell lysis and chromatin sonication. Moreover, the intracellular expressing antibody was able to reduce acetylated histone availability in chromatin. Immunofluorescence was performed on HeLa cells using this antibody. The antibody strongly decorates nuclei of HeLa cells, with the exclusion of perinuclear (lamin positive) regions, indicative of euchromatic staining (US11137393B2). |
