Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1825 |
Name | Anti-hINSR mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- IR 18-40 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IB, IP |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody reacts with the extracellular domain of human INSR, and recognises an epitope on the beta subunit. It does not cross-react with rat or mouse insulin receptors, and cross-reacts weakly with rabbit, bovine, porcine and ovine INSR. |
Alternative Name | CD220; human insulin receptor; insulin receptor; HHF5; IR; 18 40 |
UniProt | P06213 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with purified human placental insulin receptor. |
Application Notes | This antibody has been used in immunoprecipitation assays, with both radiolabelled human insulin receptor (hINSR) and hINSR-radiolabelled insulin complexes (Soos et al, 1986). This antibody has also been used in immunoblot analysis with purified hINSR (Soos et al, 1986), revealing that it reacts with the receptor's beta subunit. This antibody has been shown to have limited inhibitory effect on insulin binding to IM-9 cells (Soos et al, 1986). |
