Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1892 |
Name | Anti-HspB3 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- 7B4 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody is specific for HspB3. HspB3 is an inhibitor of actin polymerization and it promotes myogenesis by regulating the lamin B receptor. |
Alternative Name | Heat shock protein beta-3; Heat shock 17 kDa protein; HSP 17; Protein 3 |
UniProt | Q12988 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing a barnevelder chicken with an antibody antigen cocktail comprising recombinant purified human antigens α-fodrin, hPop1, HspB3, Ro52, Rpp30, Rrp4 and Rrp42 in complete Freund's adjuvant. B cells that were harvested from the bone marrow and peripheral blood lymphocytes of immunized chickens was used to generate recombinant scFv phage display libraries. The specific clone was identified by panning the library against specific antigen. |
Application Notes | The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis (Hof et al., 2008; PMID: 18062792). |
Antibody First Published | Hof et al. Multiple-antigen immunization of chickens facilitates the generation of recombinant antibodies to autoantigens Clin Exp Immunol. 2008 Feb;151(2):367-77. PMID:18062792 |
Note on publication | Describes the generation of chicked antibodies against various human autoantigens. |
