Cat. No. | MABL-2109 |
Name | Anti-IL-8 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- 928 (46G8) |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds human IL-8 and specifically recognizes an epitope containing amino acids sequence 'ELRCQCIKTYSK'. Interleukin-8 is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T- cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It is released from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus. |
Alternative Name | IL8; Interleukin-8; CXCL8; C-X-C motif chemokine 8; Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 8; Emoctakin; Granulocyte chemotactic protein 1; GCP-1; Monocyte-derived neutrophil chemotactic factor; MDNCF; Monocyte-derived neutrophil-activating peptide; MONAP; Neutrophil-activating protein 1; NAP-1; Protein 3-10C; T-cell chemotactic factor |
UniProt | P10145 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing cohorts of XMG2 XENOMOUSE® transgenic mice with recombinant human Interleukin-8 (rhIL-8). |
Application Notes | This antibody binds human interleukin 8 with a very high affinity of Kd = 0.06 pM. The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA (PMID: 16038881; US20140105905). |
