Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-2132 |
Name | Anti-inactivated vaccinia virus mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- VACC-E7 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Vaccinia virus |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody is specific for vaccinia virus. The antibody does not recognize the L1 antigen. Vaccinia virus is a large, complex, enveloped virus belonging to the poxvirus family. |
Alternative Name | killed vaccinia virus; VV; VACV |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | Two llamas were immunized with a combination of killed vaccinia virus material and purified recombinant L1 antigen. A VHH library was then constructed and panned against killed vaccinia virus . |
Application Notes | The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody was assayed as both capture and tracer in MAGPIX bead-based sandwich assays for the detection of vaccinia virus and a limit of detection (LOD) of 4x10^5 pfu/ml was achieved (Walper et al., 2014; PMID: 25211488). |

Note on publication | The original paper describes the generation and characterization of the antibody. |
