| Name | Anti-Norovirus GII.4 mAbs |
| Clone No. | AFD- 12A11 |
| From | Recombinant Antibody |
| Isotype | Engineer antibody |
| Application | ELISA, blocking |
| Species Reactivity | Norovirus |
| Basic Information | |
| Specificity | The antibody is specific for Norovirus GII.4. The antibody shows intra-genogroup cross- reactivity to genotypes 1, 3–7, 12, and 14 of genogroup II. |
| Alternative Name | |
| UniProt | |
| Immunogen | A phage-displayed antibody library was generated from peripheral blood of healthy persons. The original antibody was isolated by screened using purified virus-like particles (VLPs) of strain Narita 104 (r104, genogroup II, genotype 4). |
| Application Notes | The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The blocking activity of the antibody against the interaction of homotypic VLPs with histo-blood group antigens were also assessed as an alternative to neutralization assay. The antibody showed a low blocking activity. |
| Antibody First Published | Higo-Moriguchi et al. Isolation of cross-reactive human monoclonal antibodies that prevent binding of human noroviruses to histo-blood group antigens J Med Virol. 2014 Apr;86(4):558-67. PMID:24026909 |
| Note on publication | The original paper identified a panel of human monoclonal antibodies targeting norovirus. |
