| Cat. No. | MABL-2499 |
| Name | Anti-Norovirus GII.10 mAbs |
| Clone No. | AFD- 5B18 |
| From | Recombinant Antibody |
| Isotype | Engineer antibody |
| Application | crystallization, WB, ELISA, IF |
| Species Reactivity | Norovirus |
| Basic Information | |
| Specificity | The antibody binds to a face of the GII.10 P1 subdomain close to the S domain and not openly exposed at the VLP surface (residues Val433, Glu496, Asn530, Tyr533, Thr534, and Leu535). The antibody cross-reacts with three GII genotypes GII.4, GII.10, and GII.12 but not with GI genotypes. |
| Alternative Name | Capsid protein |
| UniProt | Q5F4T5 |
| Immunogen | The antibody was generated from a mouse immunized with GII.4 norovirus-445 VLPs. |
| Application Notes | The specificity of the IgG format of this antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis; the antibody detected intact GII.10 VLPs at different pH values with nearly identical efficacy. The structure of the Fab fragment in complex with GII.10 P domain was determined. The Western blotting results showed that the antibody IgG could detect the three GII genotypes (Hansman et al., 2012; PMID: 22278249). The antibody was used for immunofluorescence microscopy to examine VLP binding to fresh biopsies of human ileum and it bound specifically to VLPs (Murakami et al., 2013; PMID: 23799113). |
