| Immunogen | The original antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a human PD-1:IgG1 fusion protein. |
| Application Notes | In immunohistochemical analysis, this antibody has been used to stain for PD-1 expression in human breast cancer frozen tissue sections (Ghebeh et al, 2008), human tonsil cryosections (Iwai et al, 2002), acetone-fixed liver tissue sections (Wang et al, 2011) and formalin-fixed, paraffin- embedded human gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma tissue sections (Yang et al, 2019). This PD-1 blocking antibody has been used, in combination with an anti-PD-L1 antibody, to assess the effects of PD-1 pathway blockade on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (Matsuzaki et al, 2010). It has also been used to block PD-1 in samples of human peripheral blood and pleural fluid mononuclear cells (Jurado et al, 2008), and to test the effects of PD-1 blockade on peripheral blood mononuclear cell proliferation and interferon‐γ production in samples from HIV-1-positive patients (Rosignoli et al, 2009). |
