Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-3022 |
Name | Anti-TDRD3 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- Fab-8-1 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | Binds to human TDRD3 with a Kd-value of 1 nM. Specificity checked by ELISA - it show no binding to any of 13 non-cognate antigens. |
Alternative Name | Tudor-domain-containing protein 3 |
UniProt | Q9H7E2 |
Immunogen | Human TDRD3. |
Application Notes | This antibody binds to the tudor domain of TDRD3, a nuclear coactivator that recognizes and binds asymmetric dimethylation on the core histone tails associated with transcirptional activation such as H4R3me2 or H3R17me2. In the cytoplasm, it is suggested to be involved in the assembly and disassembly of mRNA stress granules. Interesting feature about this antibody: The CDR-H3 plays virtually no role in antigen recognition. |
Antibody First Published | Persson et al. Diversity is not required for antigen recognition by synthetic antibodies. Journal of Molecular Biology 2013; 425(4):803-811 PMID:23219464 |
Note on publication | Describes the generation of several synthetic antibodies from phage display and subsequent crystallisation with TDRD3. |
