Name | Anti-Bromodeoxyuridine mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- IIB5 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ICC, FC, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Species independent |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The original antibody reacts with bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) also when incorporated into nuclear DNA. Further, the antibody is known to cross-react with Iododeoxyuridine (IdU). |
Alternative Name | BrdU |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing a BALB/c mouse intraperitoneally with BrdU conjugated to Bovine Serum albumin. |
Application Notes | The binding characteristics of the antibody was determined in a radioimmunoassay using 3H-BrdUrd as a ligand, and the affinity constant was found to be 3.1 x 10^7 L/mol (Schutte et al., 1987; PMID: 3113895). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry for the detection of bromodeoxyuridine (van Engeland et al., 1997; PMID: 9299167). |
