Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with hapten-carrier (BFNB- bovine serum albumin, BFNB-BSA) conjugates. BFNB stands for 4-[[(2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7- benzofuranyloxy) carbonyl]-amino]-butanoic acid. |
Application Notes | The binding affinity and the specificity of this antibody were characterized by ELISA or indirect competitive ELISA (Yang et al., 2007). This antibody was also used to develop a rapid, specific and sensitive ELISA method to determine residues of the pesticide carbofuran in a variety of matrices (PMID: 18463589). |
