Description
Recombinant Non-specific Lipid-Transfer Protein Cor a 8 produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 11kDa. Cor a 8.0101 is expressed with a 10xHis tag and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
Nonspecific lipid transfer proteins (nsLTPs) are expressed throughout the plant tissues. They have a typical cysteine pattern forming disulfide bonds and are important allergens in fruits and tree nuts. Sensitization to nsLTP Cor a 8.0101 is more frequent among patients with hazelnut allergy in the Mediterranean area than the northern parts of Europe.

Formulation
Cor a 8.0101 is supplied in 20mM HEPES buffer pH-8.0, 200mM NaCl and 20% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
